What I'd Like To See In The Next Tomb Raider Title
I honestly haven't been paying attention to Tomb Raider news as much as I used to, so I may be a little late on saying this. But I was looking online last night and saw a post about a new Tomb Raider title being in the works on next-gen consoles. I was overly excited, but I am hoping they change some things that were placed into the 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider.
1) NO MULTIPLAYER.
I know a lot of people, including myself, didn't thoroughly enjoy the Tomb Raider multiplayer experience. Personally, I felt as if it was 'added onto the game for the sake of adding it on'. Yes, I know the developers were trying to add something new to the game, but in my opinion, Tomb Raider has never been and never will be meant for multiplayer. Most games that have never had multiplayer before and suddenly include it suck. I believe multiplayer in Tomb Raider killed the game. The modes weren't even that fun, the characters were boring and the level design was linear and small.
2) MORE GLOBE TROTTING.
Being a long time Tomb Raider fan, I've always been a huge fan of the globe trotting element in the Tomb Raider games. My favorite example of this would be in Tomb Raider Legend. Each location was diverse and fun to explore. In the reboot, when it was taken away, it seemed very dull. Besides, the island in my opinion was cool, but at the same time a pain to explore at times.
3) BRING BACK THE CROFT MANOR.
The Croft Manor was my favorite aspect of the Tomb Raider games. Lara's home was always a joy to explore and each part of the mansion was very unique. Tomb Raider Anniversary and Legend were good examples of this. They're both the same in design, including a library, pool, outside area and maze (which wasn't accessible in Legend unfortunately), private gym and bedroom. The great thing about Anniversary is that they added more to the house. Some examples include Zip's tech room being replaced with moving crates, the pool being drained of water, the shrub maze, music room, etc. I'm just hoping they bring the Croft Manor back, and if they do, have a similar or different design.
4) BRING BACK THE DUAL PISTOLS, BUT KEEP THE BOW.
Both of Lara's signature weapons are my favorites, I'm just hoping they make a return in this new installment in the series. Seeing the pistols not appear in the game was upsetting, but seeing her new bow was satisfying. If they incorporate both of them into the sequel, then I'll be pleased.
5) FOCUS MORE ON SECONDARY CHARACTERS.
The 2013 reboot had MANY characters, but most of them you either forgot about, didn't care about or had no interest in. I just hope they shed more light on secondary characters and their backgrounds. Personally, the only secondary characters I cared about were Alex and Roth. The rest I had little to no interest in.
So those are just a few! I MAY do a part 2 to this, but we'll see. ^-^

Borderlands 2 Review...So Far o.o
Finally, I recieved the Borderlands 2 Deluxe Vault Hunter's Edition this year for Christmas! I was so happy and most of all, excited to finally play one of my most anticipated games of 2012. I have been playing it for quite some time now (most of it was by myself but 10% is probably with my friend), and I have a few things to say about it!
To start, I love the character customization. Currently, I am playing as Maya, aka the Siren, and I am impressed with the amount of options to choose from. You can modify every detail, from their hair to their outfit colors. I am planning on starting a new game as the Mechromancer when I get the money. :P
The amount of loot you can pick up has improved entirely as well! Some of the most tough and big enemies you defeat can drop their weapons and you can pick them up. For example, I killed a Bruiser and I picked up his shotgun! Now it's one of my favorite weapons to use during my duration of the game. As well, there's tons of money to collect so you can purchase weapon ammo, upgrades and shields for your character. Purchasing an item from any of the machines doesn't take very long. You can just pick up what you want in a snap and walk out and fight more!
Another thing I want to mention is the colorful cast of characters. The lovable Claptrap has returned once again and better than ever! You can high five Claptrap now, which makes anyone playing Borderlands 2 for the first time who is new to the series or even someone who has played the previous game fall in love with him again. I am also liking the new villian of Pandora, Handsome Jack. He has a ton of sarcasm and humor which makes him likable no matter what. Some of the previous game's characters have returned as well, such as Roland and Lilith.
Overall, I love Borderlands 2. Everything about this game is new and improved and of course, better than ever! Pick it up..nao. >:(
Playstation Home: XI: Continuum Review
Playstation Home is a social network and a place to hang with friends, right? In 2009, Sony took that one step further by releasing an interactive game to the public called XI. XI brought the Playstation Home community closer in a distinct and unique way by offering puzzles, videos and other methods of fun ways to find clues to decipher a mystery. Now in 2012, a sequel to this ground-breaking innovative experience was released. It is called XI: Continuum.
XI: Continuum is set in a new environment, the Continuum. The Continuum is a bustling futuristic hub. It looks rather pleasant on the outside, but the inside has very dark secrets. Once you enter Continuum, you are given a sample of what Continuum has to offer. You are hunting down an individual known as EatFlamingDeath. You don't know exactly why, but you are aided by an agent by the name of Jess, who was also aiding and giving you clues in it's previous title. The 'demo' you play includes your avatar in a warehouse attempting to catch EatFlamingDeath, but it's too late unfortunately. If you wanna spend the big bucks, you can buy the XI Continuum Pack for $7.99. I bought it due to the fact I had $40 in my wallet at the time.
Now, I am currently on Day 11 (The sections are split up into days by the way) and so far the XI Continuum experience has been great! This sequel involves tons of strategic puzzles in a more sci-fi way, combat that involves cards that can give you certain boosts in battle ad tons of rewards. Each mission is fresh and full of fun. As well, once you buy the pack, you are rewarded a personal space, 'Xi Continuum: Vertigo'. Vertigo is your gateway to start or continue where you left off in Continuum if you decide to leave the space or log off. The space expands more as you play through Continuum, so it makes you more excited to play more and more.
Overall, I'd recommend Continuum to anyone who likes sci-fi missions and puzzles. Anyone who enjoyed and maybe even COMPLETED its previous title will definitely like Continuum as much as I do, even though I didn't quite finish the previous, haha.

Online Relationships
In the world today, many people choose to use online dating sites to meet people and eventually get into a relationship with them. At first, I thought the idea was stupid, but my view on that has changed.
During winter of 2011, the new year was approaching and I was on my Playstation 3 with some of my close friends, celebrating the end of a great year. I was focusing on making resolutions, but none of them were dating/relationship related.
That night, my old best friend hooked me up with one of my friends who I liked at the time (as a boyfriend) and I was excited that we were together, but I regret that decision.
A few months into the relationship, things took a turn for the worse. We got in fights a lot, there was hardly any romance and I was constantly harassed. I decided to end the relationship. It was too much to handle.
Near January, I met a girl named Samantha, who also happened to hang out with a lot of guys. I wasn't looking to start another relationship, but I started to develop feelings for one of her friends, Jake. But, I didn't tell him
OR anyone, in fear that I might get made fun of or rejected by him. So I kept it to myself and tried to not make it obvious for 3-4 months. It was very tough, I couldn't bottle my feelings up any longer.
On April 29th, 2012 at around 11 pm, Sam, Jake and I were in a chat room texting eachother. We were talking for awhile when Sam suddenly said "You should date alex." out of the blue. I got embarrassed and simply typed a ">_>" emote. I didn't want my cover blown at all. She started listing reasons why (about 4 or 5) and that's when I got REALLY embarrassed. But, to my surprise, Jake said "Sure, why not" and asked me to date him, and of course I said yes!!
So far, we have been dating for five months. I'm very happy. He always makes me smile and blush. I love him a lot. Eventually, I want to meet him in real life and someday, marry him.
I think that online relationships can work if you have trust, contact and love, of course. First, trust is important because you want to trust that your partner isn't going to cheat. Trust makes relationships work!! Contact is important as well. Webcam, texting and other forms of contact are great. Me and my boyfriend use ooVoo, Kik and our Playstation 3 systems to communicate. Love is important too. I like to tell my boyfriend that I love him a lot everyday, and I mean it. Make sure to show affection in some kind of way. It also works!
My point is that if you believe the relationship will work, it can for sure!! :)

Home: Pros and Cons
I've been on Playstation Home for quite a while now. I've met friends, and even made some enemies, but overall I've had fun. There are just some things I need to go over that annoy the crap out of me.
First, fams. I am sick of people walking around and seeing clan/fam tags displayed in the chat log that, to me, serve NO purpose. I've joined a few groups/fams on Home and each experience as a member in the group was horrible. Assigned pop up colors, meetings, etc. It made me feel as if I was working in real life.
Another thing I want to go over is the sense of fashion in Home. I see most female avatars parading around in bikinis in The Hub and even revealing tops. Also, I see male avatars dressed in skinny jeans and a shirtless torso. It disgusts me to see that these Home users are dressing inappropriately at times.
The last thing I have to go over is the amount of drama. Everywhere I go, I see girls fighting over pointless things, as well as guys fighting over girls.
Overall, Home is an amazing social network for all PS3 users. But, you may run into some wacky things. :p

Sam and me! A Story of Friendship.
As some of you know, I own a playstation 3. Yes, I use it for gaming, but I also use it for something different. I go on Playstation Home practically everyday (addict much? Lol) And I've met some nice and some not so nice people. But let's begin my story.
In the summer of 2010, I was on summer break and I decided to pop into Home. I checked the navigator and noticed a FEVA arena was out. So, I decided to quickly download it and go. After loading up and looking around, I saw this girl. She was sporting skinny jeans, sneakers and the new Lockwood 'Attitude' hair. I thought this girl could potentially be my friend, so I decided to say hi. Surprisingly enough, she said hi back and we began to talk. She was from Texas and was 14 at the time. After an hour, I decided to add her.
After that, we'd hang out everyday with her friends and boyfriend. It was a ton of fun and she became my new BFF. Her name was Ashley.
After two years of being friends, I met another girl. Her name was Samantha but everyone called her Sam for short. She was funny, down to earth and we had tons in common. I even met some of her friends. I really started to like them!
A few months after, me and Ashley got into a big fight. Ashley hated Sam and decided to call her names, so I stuck up for her. Then I got deleted off her list after a big argument. I quickly pieced everything together in my head. Ashley was not a true friend.
In the end, I didn't end up adding Ashley and her lame friends back. I was hanging out with Sam and her friends more and I loved it. I could be myself without worrying about being embarassed. Shes like a sister to me. And I care for her and hang with her still to this day. :D

Tomb Raider Legend Review
2006 brought another expansion to the Tomb Raider series, Tomb Raider Legend. This is probably my favorite game in the series. Also, this is the first TR game not handeled by a British company. Instead, it was handeled by Crystal Dynamics.
In the beginning of the game, a flashback is shown. Lara is on a plane with her mother Amelia. The aircraft catches on fire and crashes in Nepal. But Lara and her mother are the only survivors (the pilot and co-pilot dead). Soon after taking shelter with her mother in a tomb-like area, young Lara finds a stone dais with a sword in a stone. Curious, she touches it and a green light emits. Her mother soon comes over, worried, and pulls out the sword. And in a flash her mother is gone. So, the whole objective is to find the sword pieces (which are scattered in places, which I will explain below) and find out what REALLY happened to her mother.
The places Lara will visit to find the sword pieces are(AND THEY ARE IN ORDER):
-Boliva
-Peru
-Japan
-West Africa/Ghana
-Kazakstan
-England
-Nepal
-Bolivia Redux
Each level is fun and interesting!
Overall, I give this game a 10/10. Lara's adventure's are always amazing and gripping.
