Borderlands 2 Review...So Far o.o

Finally, I recieved the Borderlands 2 Deluxe Vault Hunter's Edition this year for Christmas! I was so happy and most of all, excited to finally play one of my most anticipated games of 2012. I have been playing it for quite some time now (most of it was by myself but 10% is probably with my friend), and I have a few things to say about it! To start, I love the character customization. Currently, I am playing as Maya, aka the Siren, and I am impressed with the amount of options to choose from. You can modify every detail, from their hair to their outfit colors. I am planning on starting a new game as the Mechromancer when I get the money. :P The amount of loot you can pick up has improved entirely as well! Some of the most tough and big enemies you defeat can drop their weapons and you can pick them up. For example, I killed a Bruiser and I picked up his shotgun! Now it's one of my favorite weapons to use during my duration of the game. As well, there's tons of money to collect so you can purchase weapon ammo, upgrades and shields for your character. Purchasing an item from any of the machines doesn't take very long. You can just pick up what you want in a snap and walk out and fight more! Another thing I want to mention is the colorful cast of characters. The lovable Claptrap has returned once again and better than ever! You can high five Claptrap now, which makes anyone playing Borderlands 2 for the first time who is new to the series or even someone who has played the previous game fall in love with him again. I am also liking the new villian of Pandora, Handsome Jack. He has a ton of sarcasm and humor which makes him likable no matter what. Some of the previous game's characters have returned as well, such as Roland and Lilith. Overall, I love Borderlands 2. Everything about this game is new and improved and of course, better than ever! Pick it up..nao. >:(

Playstation Home: XI: Continuum Review

Playstation Home is a social network and a place to hang with friends, right? In 2009, Sony took that one step further by releasing an interactive game to the public called XI. XI brought the Playstation Home community closer in a distinct and unique way by offering puzzles, videos and other methods of fun ways to find clues to decipher a mystery. Now in 2012, a sequel to this ground-breaking innovative experience was released. It is called XI: Continuum. XI: Continuum is set in a new environment, the Continuum. The Continuum is a bustling futuristic hub. It looks rather pleasant on the outside, but the inside has very dark secrets. Once you enter Continuum, you are given a sample of what Continuum has to offer. You are hunting down an individual known as EatFlamingDeath. You don't know exactly why, but you are aided by an agent by the name of Jess, who was also aiding and giving you clues in it's previous title. The 'demo' you play includes your avatar in a warehouse attempting to catch EatFlamingDeath, but it's too late unfortunately. If you wanna spend the big bucks, you can buy the XI Continuum Pack for $7.99. I bought it due to the fact I had $40 in my wallet at the time. Now, I am currently on Day 11 (The sections are split up into days by the way) and so far the XI Continuum experience has been great! This sequel involves tons of strategic puzzles in a more sci-fi way, combat that involves cards that can give you certain boosts in battle ad tons of rewards. Each mission is fresh and full of fun. As well, once you buy the pack, you are rewarded a personal space, 'Xi Continuum: Vertigo'. Vertigo is your gateway to start or continue where you left off in Continuum if you decide to leave the space or log off. The space expands more as you play through Continuum, so it makes you more excited to play more and more. Overall, I'd recommend Continuum to anyone who likes sci-fi missions and puzzles. Anyone who enjoyed and maybe even COMPLETED its previous title will definitely like Continuum as much as I do, even though I didn't quite finish the previous, haha.
